Narrativo:

On 11/02/2018, Detectives from the Ventura County Sheriff’s West County Narcotic’s Street Team concluded a month long narcotic investigation into Oxnard resident Fernando Candido, who was involved in the sales of methamphetamine and heroin to residents of Ventura County. The West County Street Team was assisted by the Sheriff’s Gang Unit.

On this date, Fernando Candido was detained during a traffic stop in the city of Ventura while detectives executed a signed narcotic search warrant at Candido’s residence in the 300 block of Will Avenue in the unincorporated area known as El Rio. While securing the residence, Detectives encountered Emmanuel Candido, who is currently on parole and Samatha Saldivar, who had outstanding misdemeanor warrants, along with several small children.

During the search of Candido’s residence and vehicles, Detectives located approximately 11 ounces of methamphetamine, an ounce of heroin, and narcotics paraphernalia indicative of methamphetamine and heroin sales. In addition, three handguns were also seized from the residence. Fernando Candido was booked at the Ventura County Main Jail and remains in custody on narcotic, weapons, and child endangerment charges. His bail was set at $105,000.

His next scheduled court appearance is set for 11/16/18 at 1:30 PM in Courtroom 12. Emmanuel Candido was booked into the Ventura County Main Jail on narcotic and weapons charges where he remains with a bail of $105,000. His next scheduled court appearance is set for 11/16/2018 at 1:30 PM in Courtroom 12. Samantha Saldivar was booked at the Main Jail on misdemeanor narcotic warrants and has since been released from custody.

The West County Street Narcotics Team is comprised of narcotic detectives from the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office, the Oxnard Police Department, and the Port Hueneme Police Department.
